Reverse (Parking) Exchange The reverse exchange strategy permits the exchanger to purchase new property before selling the old property. The Qualified Intermediary, such as 1031ae, sets up a special purpose entity known as an Exchange Accommodation Titleholder that purchases the new property and parks it for you until you sell your old property.
