Sanna Phinney founded 1031 Asset Exchange, a national Qualified Intermediary firm, in 2003. She has been actively involved in various aspects of the real estate industry for over 25 years. For the past 13 years her focus has been facilitating 1031 tax deferred exchanges and managing company operations. She specializes in reverse and construction exchanges, as well as delayed exchanges, for both real and personal property transactions. Her enthusiasm for her business fosters her goal of making 1031 exchanges easy for clients to save their tax dollars and grow their wealth.

Sanna received her Certified Exchange Specialist® designation in 2003. She is actively involved with the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA) and is currently serving as the Chair of the FEA's Certification Council for Certified Exchange Specialists®. This Council consists of a panel of up to 16 experts who represent a cross section of the qualified intermediary industry who develops the eligibility requirements and examination materials for the CES® designation. She also participates as a Board Member for the Commercial and Industrial Division of the Central Oregon Association of Realtors and for the Central Oregon Chapter of the Oregon Escrow Council. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Bend.

Felip E. Holbrook

Felip E. Holbrook brings 11 years of exchange experience to 1031 Asset Exchange. He is President and Partner in our Washington State branch. Felip has extensive experience in agricultural exchanges and also specializes in personal property transactions.

Active both locally and nationally in the exchange industry, Felip served for five years on the Certified Exchange Specialist® Certification Council, a group of national experts that oversees the Certified Exchange Specialist® designation offered through the Federation of Exchange Accommodators. He was Chair of the Continuing Education Committee, reviewing classes and workshops and awarding credits towards maintenance of the CES® designation.

Felip also gives 1031 seminars and classes for Realtors®, escrow agents, lenders, attorneys and CPAs. He is a member of four Realtor associations in Central Washington, and has been named “Affiliate of the Year” by the Yakima Association of Realtors twice, in 2001 and again in 2008.

He has extensive community service experience as well, having served as a Board Member and President of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra and Catholic Family & Child Service. He is an active member of the Yakima Rotary Club.
